Terrain and Rail Parks in Mt HothamMt. Hotham features 3.2 square kilometres of ski area, including 35 kilometres of tree-lined cross-country trails and a network of 13 lifts. The longest run at Mount Hotham is 2.5 kilometres long. Mount Hotham features an abundance of runs for skiers and boarders of all standards from beginners to intermediates and advanced. HOTHAM'S TERRAIN PARKSHotham has three terrain/rail parks across the resort - the Easy Mac Rail Park, the Beginner Park and the Summit Terrain Park. There is also a skier/boarder cross course for everyone to enjoy. - Easy Mac Rail Park The Easy Mac Rail Park is the most accessible rail park in the Australian snowfields, located right next to Hotham Central. It features a range of intermediate to advanced boxes, rails and jumps. Enjoy a lunch on Swindlers Balcony whilst watching people tackle and do moves off the features. - Beginner Park Located at the Big D this is a place where the kids can learn the tricks and what it takes to ride the park in a safe and progressive way. A flat box,beginner jump and easy rails are here to be enjoyed and kick start you on your way to the Basin and Summit parks. - Summit Terrain Park The Summit Terrain Park is situated skiers right of the Summit Chairlift. The park features a beginner, intermediate and advanced line of jumps and kickers with rails and features throughout the course. Please note that this park is snow and weather dependant. - Skier/boarder cross course The boarder cross course features berms, chutes, kickers and rollers built by the Australian National SBX team to World Cup standard. The course has been used for training for the Canadian Ski X team and the Australian SKi X team, as well as hosting the FIS Easy Mac SBX Championships, the World Industries Ausralian Series, the FIS Easy Mac Skier-X Championship and Australian National SBX Training Camp. This course is available for public use outside of training hours. |
